Swiffer Duster….lol

Went to Costco tonight after work. It’s actually my first time ever using my own Costco membership card, with my own American Express card, to make a purchase at Costco! Thanks to Active (my work place) for granting me the Costco card for free~

Swiffer DusterBought a Swiffer Duster today. I wasn’t even sure why I bought it, I guess because it looked interesting and also the duster part looks fluffy and cool…lol. Anyway I’M SO GLAD THAT I MADE THE PURCHASE. This thing is amazing, so simple but effective! I tried it on everything, like desk, table top, TV, speakers, sofa, coffee table, floor/wall corners, kitchen counter top, top of fridge, top of microwave, top of fireplace, staircase handle railing, lcd monitor (screen)….even tried it on some plushed animals and it WORKED SO WELL.

I’m really happy with my purchase. I’m weird I think, but then I’m really feeling great getting to use such a great product.

Also bought a 2GB xD picture card for use with my Olympus camera! For some reason the paranoma shooting mode requires a xD card, not sure why but anyway just bought it for fun.

New camera! Again!

Olympus E-520 DSLR CameraPicked up my new camera (Olympus E-520) yesterday at Point Roberts. I’ve been buying many different cameras during the past year, but I have a feeling that I’ll be settled with this one for a long time. This camera is pretty much the same as the one I just sold (the Olympus E-420) but with added image stabilization, and a way bigger grip. I’ve been struggling so much to take pictures in low light since the E-420 didn’t have image stabilization, a lot of the pictures came out to be blurry. I would expect that I’ll be getting a lot more keepers on the new camera. I have yet to test it out, will be doing a lot of shootings this weekend at the camp I guess.

Camera sold

My new camera Olympus E-520I’ve been trying to sell my beloved Olympus E-420 camera and the Zuiko 25mm pancake lens for about 2 weeks and finally got them sold for $700 today to guy named Kevin! I’m extremely happy since the extra cash has pretty much paid for my new Olympus E-520 that I got from Cameta Camera (through Amazon.com). The camera is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow (Monday) and I will have to drive across the border to Point Roberts as usual to pick it up. Hopefully the guys at the border won’t be hassling me about paying tax and stuff, or to search my cars….etc >< Can’t wait to get my new camera ASAP, test it out, and carry it with me for camping next weekend at the Golden Ear Provincial Park!

Olympus E-420 Digital SLR Camera, woot!

Olympus E-420 Digital SLR CameraOlympus E-420 Digital SLR Camera with Manfrotto 728B tripodWas reading some reviews on my camera today and realized I haven’t really done a formal introduction of it like how I did it for my last couple cams like Canon SD1000, Canon G9, Fujifilm F50fd. Bought this camera about a little more than a month ago off Futureshop, with a staff discount from Peter who works at Best Buy, ended up paying just $355+tax for it, including one lens. Super amazing deal. It’s named “World’s Smallest DSLR”, which is one of the reasons getting it as it’s no fun hauling bulky cameras around. And as usual I fell in love with the camera since day one not just because it’s new but it is also my first ever DSLR camera. I’ve been wanting one forever, have been wanting to get the Canon Rebel XTi about a year and half ago, but wasn’t able to afford it back then. This Olympus turned out to be so affordable so I decided to get it without second thought. The pic is the camera itself, with a flash attached that I got free from Peter.

Manfrotto 728B TripodManfrotto 728B TripodAlso there is the $119 tripod (on sale from $149, lol) that I got 2 weeks ago, the Manfrotto 728B made in Italy. I decided to pay a bit more to get a brand name just to make sure I get an OK quality and sturdy one, so I can keep it for a long time. I love this camera, have already taken thousands of pictures with it in the past month, and liking every single one of them. I’m looking forward to bring it with me to the San Diego one-week trip next week, and take tons of pictures at Legoland and the San Diego Zoo :)
