Yosemite here I come!

Less than 12 hours now before my flight to Las Vegas departs. I THINK/HOPE I have everything I need packed up and not missing anything. My camera gears are all packed (most important thing to pack). Left a message on my flickr so people wouldn’t think I just disappear and not commenting on their pictures..! My flight is checked in, backpack is secured and I’ve put my passport and stuff in….I think I’m ready.
Now going to bed for 7 hours or so and then I’ll have to get up at 3AM and catch a cab so that I can be at the airport at 4….so early.

Wonder if I’ll have internet access there… probably not.

Trip to Yosemite

Very busy preparing for my upcoming trip to Yosemite and Death Valley, in fact, so busy that I’m kind of disoriented not really sure what to do next. I’ve still got tons of tasks to finish off for work, and then I haven’t packed much for the trip - and I know this is going to suck, as preparation is very important especially I’m going alone and I need to have every single thing well prepared. I can’t miss anything.

I returned my Garmin Corlarado 300 GPS, as it locked up every 3 hours or so on me, not even sure why but it just sucked. I then got the Garmin etrax Legend HCx GPS, which is a little old (made in 2006 I think), but the screen is way brighter and the unit is smaller and lighter as well - I like it. Battery life is a whopping 25 hours! I loaded my Garmin topo maps onto it and it showed up perfectly. I’ll bring this GPS with me.

Also bought a survival knife from Benny’s brother Dennis. It’s made by RAT Cutlery, model is RC-3. It’s made with carbon steel and has a black coating on it. Dennis said it’s super durable/sharp and since I’m such a noob on knifes, I took his words. It does look super sharp and durable though, and I’ve seen some reviews on it on youtube and they were pretty decent. I have to figure out a way to set it up maybe on the shoulder strap of my backpack so that I can have easy access to it.

My work is now on Paperkraft.net !

Howl's Moving Castle papercraftPaperkraft.net kindly posted my work on their site! How happy/lucky I am, consider the popularity of the site. Hopefully more people can see my work, especially all of Miyazaki’s fans! I got to start making my Totoro papercraft soon… got it printed but still haven’t started cutting.

Sad day

Waterline leakMy neighbour’s waterline bursted and water was flooding his front yard. Some I believe contractors came and started digging. They ended up digging a 6-7 feet hold in my neighbour’s AND my yard, pulling my shrubs from their roots, destroying the foundations of the bricks that I laid in. I was very pissed and there wasn’t anything I could do. They even shut off water supply to my place for one whole day. It’s been 2 days since the incident and they still haven’t yet poured the mud/soil back into the huge hole. They better get that done tomorrow. I don’t know who is going to fix up my plants and fence though, it’s going to be hell…
