Finally some trip to Japan

So busy packing up. Flight is 6am tomorrow, and I still haven’t gotten everything packed up. My first stop will be Hong Kong, will probably go to Macau with family, meet up with a couple friends, then off to Japan and Korea! So stoked can’t wait. Didn’t have a chance to plan it all out for Japan and Korea, guess I’ll rely on my trusty Frommer’s. So nervous, have a feeling that I’ll be forgetting to bring some stuff :( It’ll be fun to travel with my love love Wendy though :D

New Camera Bag!!!

Lowepro Primus AW camera backpackLowepro Primus AW camera backpackWent to Dunne & Rundle to get my travel camera backpack. There were lots of choices like Tamrac, Lowepro, M-Rock…etc. I didn’t want to get Lowepro since I already got a Lowepro Slingshot 100 camera bag, but this Primus AW bag turned out to be too good to be missed. It has an eight-point strap system, way more than what I would have thought of being used on a camera bag. It’s super comfortable, I can totally see myself wearing it for an extended period of time. It has a side opening so I can take my camera out without having to take off my bag. Also, huge compartment at the top level so it’d be great for travelling when I carry around shit like food, maps, drinks…etc. It even has an outer covering which can be used to hold say a jacket or something. For $110 I think this is a steal. I’m looking forward to using it so much for the trip to Japan next week!

Here’s a full review of the bag.

Nissan 2009 GT-R

Nissan 2009 GT-RNissan 2009 GT-RSaw this baby at Parker Place (Chinese shopping mall in Vancouver) today. I was like HOLY SHIT and instantly grabbed camera to snap a couple pics. Skyline GT-R has been my dream car for many years since the debut of the GT-R34. This new R35, according to the spec, goes from 0-100km/h in 3.5sec….That’s faster than a Porche 911 Turbo…holy shit. I didn’t know that they have it here in Canada, but I guess I’ll see a couple more of them in the coming months. Starting price of $81,900, guess now I have some incentive to work harder and stuff, lol.

No X Japan???

NOOOOOOOOO….

The sale for the tickets to the X Japan concert 22nd November in Paris was DELAYED. I can’t accept this. What if I don’t get to see them again. What if Yoshiki’s neck problem worsen (please don’t). Just let me see you guys once, once is enough (twice is better, and so on). Anyway I’ll be constantly checking the news on X’s official website to see when is the tickets for the show in Paris is going to be on sale.

Also heard that they are going to have a crazy huge show in Hong Kong sometime next year. No clue if I’ll be able to get a ticket to the show, probably will be fairly difficult for me, but I’ll try.

Anyway, I’ve been listening to X Japanese’s latest song “I.V.” they made after their reunion last year. It’s also one of the theme songs for the movie SAW IV.

Swiffer Duster….lol

Went to Costco tonight after work. It’s actually my first time ever using my own Costco membership card, with my own American Express card, to make a purchase at Costco! Thanks to Active (my work place) for granting me the Costco card for free~

Swiffer DusterBought a Swiffer Duster today. I wasn’t even sure why I bought it, I guess because it looked interesting and also the duster part looks fluffy and cool…lol. Anyway I’M SO GLAD THAT I MADE THE PURCHASE. This thing is amazing, so simple but effective! I tried it on everything, like desk, table top, TV, speakers, sofa, coffee table, floor/wall corners, kitchen counter top, top of fridge, top of microwave, top of fireplace, staircase handle railing, lcd monitor (screen)….even tried it on some plushed animals and it WORKED SO WELL.

I’m really happy with my purchase. I’m weird I think, but then I’m really feeling great getting to use such a great product.

Also bought a 2GB xD picture card for use with my Olympus camera! For some reason the paranoma shooting mode requires a xD card, not sure why but anyway just bought it for fun.
