Back to Van

It’s the end of my 6-day San Diego trip, it was sooo cool. Got to see, eat, chat a lot, had lots of fun, took LOTS of pictures with my new camera, and got really really tired/stressed out…lol. Had a lot of fun hanging with couple of my bosses, and co-workers. It was awesome to be able to see everyone’s face in real after working with them for almost a year. Really people didn’t look like how they sound…lol. I totally didn’t expect how a couple of them look, but that was fun. I’ll be organizing the pictures a bit and post them up here.

SpaceWarp 5000 rollar coaster setI’m sooo tired I barely did anything today, just had crap microwave lunch, checked email, catched up with some side business stuff, unpacked some stuff, washed dishes, did garbage…etc…and browse a lot on the web…. I FOUND SOMETHING I REALLY WANTED FOR SO LONG. It’s called the “SpaceWarp 5000” metal ball roller coaster toy where a track is built from two plastic tubings and a metal ball is dropped from the very top of the track (that you build) and rolls down like a roller coaster cart. I owned one of those when I was small, I totally want to rebuild another one. I get amazed by things like this.

Gakken Bow-shooting Boy robotOn the same site I found another interesting toy that I guess I’ll pretty much end up getting. It’s the Gakken Bow-shooting Boy.

  • “Bow-shooting Boy” is one of the works of science and technology person TANAKA HISASHIGE who represents the end of Japanese “Edo” era. It is a mechanism doll that repeats advanced operation of the doll’s taking the arrow from the arrow setting up, pulling the bow, and shooting the target. In this kit, to make the mechanism and the movement of the real thing also in general, it reproduces it.
  • This is REALLY cool, everything done in a mechanical way, no circuit boards/complex logics or anything. It really makes me wonder at how smart ancient people really were.
