X’mas time of the year… not too long ago since the last one…

It’s X’mas…i.e. time for gift shopping + X’mas card mailing~ Spent around 3 hours walking around Richmond Centre, searching for the best gift for everyone (and cards). It’s no fun to walk around the entire mall back and forth a dozen times comparing prices and options (e.g. stayed in Hallmark for 30 minutes, Carlton Cards for 20)…but I guess it’s still nice being able to afford buying gifts for the people that matter to me :) Spent about $250 getting everything I want to get, guess I’m happy and it’s time to wrap’em all up~

Sit…stay…shake your paw~

Brandy & IBrandy & IBrandy & IAnother nice dinner with Alice and Matthew :) (forgot to take some pictures of the food..) I was invited over for a dinner and to look at Alice’s new Toshiba laptop since she wasn’t able to get an internet connection from it. As usual Brandy (Alice’s pet dog) welcomed me with his kissing (i.e. licking) skills as if he hasn’t seen me for ages…lol :) He was certainly more obedient after being circumcised, might have turned into a girl..lolll Anyway it was a fun dinner and I enjoyed it a lot as much as having some fun with Brandy. We’ll be having a X’mas dinner on 22nd Dec, wonder if Brandy will be invited to come along…

FMTA + Rabbit Junk + Stiff Valentine band show

Got up at 5pm today! I was shocked at how good I am at sleeping :)… probably due to the time difference / jet lag but still I felt bad for myself…

FMTA on the stageAnyways went to Andrew’s (from FMTA) band show today at Pat’s Pub, with Karl + Eva + Korie. Apparently we arrived there too early, around 8pm, bands hadn’t arrived yet not mentioning any of their fans… We thought it was okay since the pub was pretty nice overall with really good fish n chips…so we waited…and waited….for three hours! Finally Junk Rabbit started their sound testing around 10pm and we were like thanks God finally some music… Okay anyways, FMTA (Andrew’s band) opened the show, it was good, I like their new song “Ellipse” (or Ellipses??) so much, as well as “Pandora”, Jen (FMTA vocalist) sang so well in it at around 2/3 of the song…

Stiff ValentineRabbit JunkRabbit Junk (with their cool logo)Then it came Stiff Valentine and frankly I did not know it was them until Andrew told me about it after the show…lol… I thought they were okay, not as good as that I’ve listened to on their myspace. The show ended with Rabbit Junk and their crazy head bobbingggg friends. Frankly they were pretty awesome and the singer JP Anderson was pretty hilarious (too bad their guitar and synth sound wasn’t noisy enough or it’d have been way better) Anyway it was a pretty enjoyable show (FMTA rules!) other than the exceptionally long waiting time in the beginning… (Thanks Korie for sending me these pictures~)

Massage~~~ wheee so comfy

Got this “Comfort Zone Shiatsu Massaging Cushion” from Canadian Tire.. was in hope of getting a bit of a relief for my sore back, and it works!! Didn’t really expect it to work so well….it’s so comfy, really close to having it done by a real person, if not the same. It’s got a couple different “programmes” so you can select whether to massage your lower back, upper, or full back…pretty awesome.

Osim iCare 200 Eye MassagerOhh, I’ve also bought this “iCare 200” eye massager from Osim…(got it in Hong Kong)… it was pretty cheap so I decided to grab it on first sight :D Works pretty well too, doing some air pressure massage, heat thearapy, and vibration. Working in front of the computer 24/7 isn’t fun, I really should have gotten these toys way ealier…

Japanese style wireless phone

Japanese made wireless phone - Pioneer TF-FV222-SPlaying with my new wireless phone (Pioneer TF-FV222-S) that I bought in Hong Kong :D:D Being a huge fan of Japanese made stuff, and a loyal Japanese wireless phone user (using one right now but it broke :( ), I decided to get this cool phone at first glance. It’s made in Japan (of course) and sold only in Japan (illegally shipped to Hong Kong for sale). It’s got a huge LCD screen, with colorful illuminated keys, and many different cool ring tones. The phone uses analog wave signals, which give a better wall penetration, instead of the more common 2.4Ghz singnals. Japanese phones always give you the best talk time, best voice quality, and best reception. It turns out that its performance way exceeds my expectations~ I’m now a very happy man :D
