Indoor Rock Climbing

06th Nov 2011  -   Posted in Cusine, Training

Probably the longest period of time between posts, I got lazy and somehow didn’t feel like posting. Not even sure why. Maybe because I got busier. Been spending most of my time doing weight training, hanging out with Wendy, dealing with getting a new line of credit at TD Bank (all done, yay!), and of course, work. They suck up my time.

There have been a ton of new additions to my home gym - a pair of gymnastic rings; the “Isolator” arm cuffs that helps a lot to work out with my injured left wrist; built my own cable system (single cable only) with a couple pieces of hardware from Canadian Tire (it’s upgraded to version 2 now that I’ve switched to use steel cable instead of marine rope, much smoother motion on the pulley). With all these new tools I was able to expand the # of exercises two folds, pretty stoked!

Been eating a ton of dessert (unavoidable being around Wendy), Thomas Haas is my favorite, had it three times now I think. Guu became my favorite izakaya, followed by Zakkushi. In fact I was at this new Guu called Guu Kobachi which serves this “kobachi” style food which is small in portion but high in flavors. We ordered a couple items and every single one of them were good! Can’t wait to go back and try the other items on the menu..

Went rock climbing at the Cliffhanger for the first time yesterday. 3-hour introductory course, it was fun. It’s something that looks easy but when you get into it it’s insanely hard. You need the skills, and it will only come with practice. I’ll go there a couple more times see if I’m really interested.

Yellowstone National Park & Grand Teton National Park 7-Day Trip

August was a shitty month, lots had happened, but I’m glad that things are working out fine. I wasn’t in the mood to update the blog during August for sure. September is the travelling month, and I camped for 7 days at the Yellowstone and the Grand Teton National Park. It was one of the shortest trips I’ve ever [...] Continue Reading…

New bike!

25th Jul 2011  -   Posted in Cusine

Life is pretty much the same for the past week. Working out 3 times a week (injured my shoulder joint but it healed itself within 3 days), going biking everywhere, drinking protein shakes several times a day, hanging out with friends…etc. I finally got the Dahon Jetstream P8 yesterday! Super sturdy bike with some high-quality parts, and front+rear suspension. [...] Continue Reading…

Working Out

10th Jul 2011  -   Posted in Training

My days have been mostly riding on my bike and working out at my home gym. I ordered some resistance elastic tubings from eBay last month but it never got delivered and today I couldn’t wait any longer and got one from Canadian Tire. Tried it out for an hour and, it’s really amazing! I was able to improvise [...] Continue Reading…
